Ana Curbelo (known as untepid) is an award winning illustrator and artist.
She has worked as an illustrator internationally with agencies such as Scholz & Friends and Vice, creating characters with a very distinct personal style. Her most notable work is her work for The Tampon Book, which helped change the law, and won several awards at Clio Awards and Cannes Lions 2019, including a Grand Prix, attracting worldwide press interest.
The current political situation, climate change, the patriarchy and mental health are some of the issues her characters confront. They are generally unimpressed.
Mostly alone and naked, their bodies and their thoughts are depicted with equal explicitness. Their openness and vulnerability endows them with a humorous and tender dignity, and, though disenchanted, their attitude is not detached or indifferent.
Ana is currently based in London.
