FAQ

What does Untepid mean?
I made up the word as nothing else fit. Untepid is having two contradictory feelings at once and meaning both. It's the opposite of tepid: not lukewarm, not half-hearted.

What's your process?
It's a mix depending on the project. My work spans digital, linocut prints, large oil paintings, oil on wood, pastels, wooden sculptures, and murals. Whatever the medium, my characters and designs start as deliberately simple drawings. I strip out detail on purpose, because the less defined a character is, the more people see themselves in it. From there they become giclée or risograph prints, greeting cards, and things people can wear, like enamel pins and t-shirts. I also make handmade sterling silver jewellery, mostly using a technique called sand casting, all in my studio from start to finish.

What are giclée prints?
Giclée is a high-quality printing method that uses archival inks and heavyweight paper. Rich colour, fine detail, and museum-quality prints made to last for decades without fading.

Commissions, licensing, and wholesale
Yes to all three. If you're a customer, retailer, brand, designer, or anyone sourcing art for a space or project, see my Trade, Licensing & Commissions page for details, or get in touch at ana@untepid.com. I'm also available on Faire

Where can I see your work in person?
I sell at markets in London. The best way to find out where I'll be next is Instagram @untepid, where I post upcoming dates.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, worldwide. One thing to know: depending on where you are, your country may charge import taxes or customs duties when the parcel arrives. Those are set by your local customs, not by me, so it's worth checking your country's threshold before ordering.
